DESCRIPTION

Left 4 Dead puts four human playable or AI controlled survivors of an apocalyptic pandemic against hordes of aggressive "Infected" zombies in a cinematic backdrop in which the players star as each character in a fictional movie. The Survivors' goal is to help each other make it through various scenarios to safety. The Infected are controlled by an AI that dynamically balances difficulty and mood depending on the players' progress and situation. In an alternate game mode, human players can control up to four different monsters with special abilities and cooperate to stop the Survivor players.

It was released on November 18, 2008 in the United States and November 21, 2008 in Europe to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the release of Half-Life.[5][6] A five-minute trailer was released on Halloween.[7] A playable demo was made available on November 6 for pre-purchasers and on November 11 for the general public. The playable demo was closed on November 18, 2008. The demo contained the first one and a half out of five maps of the "No Mercy" campaign and was playable in both single player and multi-player. Left 4 Dead went gold on November 13, 2008.


NOTES ON HOW TO INSTALL::

For Windows Vista user
*** TURN OFF your user account control [UAC] in control panel before running setup.bat


1. Click on setup.bat
2. Follow the screen instructions

Left 4 Dead - Add-ons:

Left 4 Dead Survival Pack: Survival Mode: New gameplay Mode, 16 maps including Last Stand, Leaderboards, 7 new achievements. This will update your game to v1.0.1.2





Left 4 Dead - Patch v1.0.1.3 with Crack:

Your game must be v1.0.1.2 prior to installing this patch. Currently, most servers on Garena are v1.0.1.3.

HOW TO PLAY ONLINE


Instruction:


Download Garena:



Register as Garena member:



Install Garena and start it!!



At the left screen you'll see list of all the Game you can play with Garena.. there is also Left 4 Dead.



1. Go to Settings menu [At the upper Garena screen]




2. Once the Game Settings appear, find and click Left 4 Dead in LAN Games list on the left.

3. In Executable Settings, browse to your left4dead.exe, eg: C:\Program Files\Left 4 Dead\left4dead.exe

4. In Game Bootstrap Parameters write "+sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan 1" { for anyone having problem to connect with server, u can set this to '-concole' } and follow the step under JOINING GAME instruction. After pressing '~' type connect 192.168.29.xx @ connect 192.168.29.xxxx for IP.

5. Click OK button and you are done.




Enable Console

1. Start Left 4 Dead

2. Once on the Menu, click OPTIONS.

3. An extended menu will appear at the right, click Keyboard/Mouse.




4. Find and click ALLOW DEVELOPER CONSOLE.

5. Another extended menu will appear right side, click Enabled.




6. Your developer console is now enabled.


Joining Game

1. Find IP address, click on the user whom host room to find their Garena IP or find at the chat, EX: 192.168.29.xx



2. Start Game from Garena window.

3. Once on the Menu, press tilde "~" (Beside 1 above Tab) key on your keyboard to call the console.

4. Type in connect[space][IP address] and wait until the game load. eg; connect 192.168.29.xx @ connect 192.168.29.xxxx




START

1. Start Left 4 Dead.

2. Click on Friends Playing that shown at near bottom left.




3. Choose a server.

4. Double click the server or click Join Game to join in.





For anyone having problem with steam:


1. Download the steam program below.
2. Install steam.
3. Create steam account, then Login.
4. Retry the steps "How To Play Online".

IF YOU EXPERIENCE SOUND BUGS (LOUD NOISE, e.g. outside) go to console and type snd_rebuildaudiocache and then it should show a loading screen! if the loading has finished, quit l4d and restart it!
