Just installed a new VelociRaptor primary drive to replace my old C drive. Was curious if I could insert my old C drive, which is a normal bootable drive with WinXP Pro on it, in an external case and view files that are on it?

Or is this not possible because it is a primary bootable drive or something of this nature?

I have 4 laptops, one old desktop, and a work laptop.

All 5 of my personal PC's end up "dead" so to speak. My desktop is a old dell so I can almost understand that after 10 years.

The 4 laptops are all less than 6 years old and 3 off them are freezing, dragging, viruses, and get Blue Screens....

I want to use Warez sites for movies, musics, and the occasional software, but I have been spending on average 5 hours a week or so trying to keep my systems from going down.

What am I doing wrong ? I have anti-virus that I pay for, and anit-spy/mal -- but can't avoid these issues ????

Now I am looking to buy something new and fear that it will be infected within 2 months again....

My question: the virus report says avast found no virus, but my avast internet security says the win key makers is infected with Win32:Trojan-Gen is this a false positive or has somebody infected the key maker and reposted it?

I've looked on Dell website for drivers for my laptops Wi-fi card and cannot find them, so I'm not sure if it will work. Also if there are any other configuration utilities for my Laptop and whether

I would also like to use Firefox only as oppose to having both it and Internet Explorer, so I was wondering if there would be a problem with getting updates because having used XP Pro you could not

There is no problem booting to windows 8 but when I boot to windows 7 it tells me that it is a counterfeit version …I am not going to argue about that …but when I activate win7 windows 8 disappears.

I have resolved this issue.. by disconnecting my optical drive. Flashing BIOS. Installing Windows ISO to USB STICK...

Booting it up into the windows setup...

BUTWAIT... the error still is there!! Remove the USB stick and insert into another USB Port on the computer.... Hit Cancel.. and at the install windows screen hit enter and it will install just fine.

Do not ask how many hours this work around has costed me and others here at TVF.

I followed these instructions:

Installation Instructions

1) Disconnect from the internet

2) Install your CS5.5 suite or software using the trial option.

3) Finish installing and DO NOT register.

4) Run the 'Activation Blocker.bat' file (run as administrator in Vista/Win 7).

5) Run an Adobe program and enter a serial using the keygen. If you don't like the generated serial keep clicking the "Generate Serial" button until you get a serial you like.

6) Copy the file 'amtlib.dll' into the install directory overwriting the exsisting file...
(You will have to do this multiple times for each installed program in a suite.)

NOTE - 32-bit dlls to 32-bit programs. 64-bit dlls to 64-bit programs.

7) Done

It seems to have worked but when I check Help>About Illustrator it says "Adobe Illustrator CS 5 Tryout" Tryout is kinda "grayed out"

Do I have a crippled trial version or do I have the full version?

Its not asking for serial...and under help it says "Deactivate" as opposed to "Activate" so it seems activated...

I am running a windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit PC with a Intel i5 2500K processor and 16GB of RAM. I do not have a dedicated graphics card. I would like to know if the on board graphics on my motherboard are good enough for me to be able to download and play games such as Call Of Duty 4 etc or do i need to spend some money and get a dedicated graphics card. If you reckon i do need a graphics card, could you please suggest a decent card that is not too expensive but does a good job?

I am running windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. I have created an image of my C drive and B drive (Data drive) using O&O Diskimage Professional and saved the image on the B (Data Drive). The B drive is just another partition of my Hard Disk where i save all my downloads, music, movies etc. I also have a 1TB Western Digital My Passport USB 2.0 External HDD. I would like to save my image to the Western Digital HDD and make it bootable so incase anything happens to my systems, i could just plug the Western Digital External HDD in, and boot from it to recover my system as it was on the image.

I would really appreciate it if i could be shown on how to go about it. Thanks a lot in advance

I'm looking for Help with "Virtual Dub". I've just ripped "Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition" using "Any DVD" & then converted back to avi & tried to stitch it back together using "Virtual Dub", which says that they're not in the same movie file, which is a problem as thats the reason why I ripped them, so I wouldn't have to change the disc in the player (lazy I know but there you go)

In the .NFO it says the following:

- Unpack / Install -
- Copy the keymaker onto the rootdrive that -
- Windows is installed. I.e) Copy keymaker to (C:)-
- Run the patch to disable the server check -

- Run the keymaker to receive a valid key for the soft -

So like i normally would, i copy the keygen to the folder where the program installed :

"C:\Program Files\IObit\Protected Folder"
I then run it, and click patch, but it keeps saying:
Hosts file not found! place the keymaker on the root drive that Windows is installed!

So i then just paste the keygen just in the c: (i click on start> Computer, then run it, i get the same message.
Has any one else used this and managed to install it ok?
If not could some one please, if possible download it (its only 4mb) and attempt to install it and if you manage to install just fine, maybe help me out lol.

I HAVE to get these images done for a client this weekend and so I cannot possibly afford for my CS4 to crash or my computer to freeze, etc and have to close CS4 which this happened frequently sometimes. I don't have any CS4 keygens anymore and my virus and security software blocks and removes anything I try to download.

Is there anyone that can give me some valid serial numbers for CS4 that I could use?

I would greatly appreciate it.

I just burn the files I downloaded directly to the disc correct?
