This is a HUGE problem on lots of sites. Katz has a new bot that checks every single post so the same set of links can't be reproduced twice.

It would be a b*tch of a thing to code but I think it's needed. I'll look into getting help and this into a project but don't expect it anytime soon. It's going to be a nightmare to do.

Simillar to the other post. Another massive autoposter user. I'll do some research and see about a WWW (world wide warez) Ban if it's a genuine problem. As in ban then from every warez site that exists not just TVF. Leave it with me. Ohh the power

Same posts may be on hundreds of other forums. Leave it with me and I'll investigate and contact the Autoposter developer and getting them a WWW (world wide warez) ban which will remove them on all forums not just TVF. We may as well kill them globally instead of a local TVF ban and prevent them returning with a different IP. I'll report back.

OK it's almost 6 am here but ya I like that Col Bustamente guy. I'll make a new certificate tomorrow when I wake up (still the 1st) easily. I made the original over a year ago and it only took a few min. I'll post it here and PM it to Viper to post it. I'll also make and Pin in the staff area a nood like template which can easily be edited like I created for for anyone to create the template. It's very easy to code and will solve the problems for the next year

Ya that would work wyw if we were to view the info but the thing is the VIP is currently all automated. As soon as they pay with paypal we get an instant confirmation and their status is instantly updated. Their automatically sent a PM and can access the VIP accounts. If we had to read referals like your example to make sure it would slow the process down. I like the whole idea but unless we can get it automated and secure then I'm against it.

Very very hard to code unless something already exists which I doubt. I know the referral mods on PHPBB and vB suck. Their buggy and too easy to manipulate. Have never used the IPB referral mod. It's a good idea but probably more hassle than use.

oh I've seen a script that adds snowflakes to any site. Its javascript but I'd say it's pretty resource heavy but not sure. Personally I don't like modifying existing ones as it's a lot of work. I don't think this skin is the easiest to modify either. In fact it's pretty crap to modify unless you just wanna just change the logo.

ya we had this before. I may even still have some of the gfx like avatars and a logo I did at the time on my old pc. Ya add it for a for a while but don't add it like in the next day or two or we'll all be sick of Christmas before it comes.

OK right I think I understand now I think. IPB only allows two + signs in a search (two variables) so if you have three pluses it doesn't work. That answers my question and anyway I've lost interest. I don't know why but now the '' (quotes) thing is working now but it didn't earlier. Strange everyone getting different results here though.

Don't remember Viper doing that. I know he had a post someplace where he converted links to Megaupload when asked by VIP's. I actually have a script like that but wouldn't have used it as I didn't want to use my own accounts. It never occurred to me to use the TVF accounts.

I've pretty much finished the VIP script but I've a few new projects planned already.

• Version 2 of my Link Checker which is a complete rewrite with a global statistics area.
• Custom Data Engine Forum Link Checker as none currently exist (being paid by a huge site to make one)
• Custom Donate VIP Script for a very large vBulletin site (350+ members, again paid).
• Custom Hosting Management Template with WHMCS integrated (again none really exist and it's paid)

So I'm pretty busy but I'll look at modifying that script for the VIP's. It's fairly simple, I'll do it very soon. Otherwise it will be a while but it's a good idea and I like it.

It doesn't reply that for me. It give 40 pages. What does it return for you or anyone else?

If you search Final Cut Pro it returns all pages with the words Final or Cut or Pro so it will return topics like Quick Time Pro. This is correct and how it currently is.

Problem is loads of topics have these words in the topic or title as their very common so you can use advanced search techniques to find what your after.

If you search ''Final Cut Pro'' including the '' it should return all topics with the words Final Cut Pro only when their in a row. So in this case it must contain all three words and they must be in order. This used to work but no longer does. Instead it returns everything.

If you search +Final +Cut +Pro with the plus sign + it should return all posts that contain all three words but it doesn't matter with the order. In other words it should return Cut Final Pro etc. This also used to work but now it just returns everything.

These are universal search codes (the '' and +) and you can use them on Google, other forums, everywhere!

To be honest I haven't searched google for a solution and it may be a simple setting that needs to be changed or it may be something more serious. I just know it used to work. Though it would be just easier to highlight the problem and let someone else fix it.

Haven't used TVF much lately so this maybe broken a while.

When did the advanced search features stop working. It's a pain in the ass.

eg. +Final +Cut +Pro and ''Final Cut Pro'' return over 40 pages of crap when they should return only one or two.

Viper find out what's the problem and fix it or open a ticket at IPB.

Nice. I wrote that script that makes it all instant. Updating it now too so it will be even more reliable and even easier to use
